it was the friday the 13th special at three king’s ($13 tattoo’s) and they were doing a special fundraiser for japan.  they were sending all of the money they made over to japan for support to the earthquake/tsunami victims.  the tattoos ended up being japanese themed this time around, and i was worried that i wasn’t going to like any of them.  (you can click and zoom in to see the entire sheet with more detail).  but i was figured the creative minds over there at three kings would come up with a great sheet, and that they did.

i ended up being stuck between the paper lantern, the fan and the origami crane.  i didn’t want another tattoo that was primarily yellow so i went against the fan and i thought that the crane was cuter than the lantern…  i thought it was going to be smaller than what it is, but i love the size of it.  and the placement as well.  my super handsome artist that did it, made it look beautiful.  it’s so much cleaner/less playful than my other tattoos.  i really like that.

i refer to it as my “mature looking tattoo”, lol.

jes and i waited last friday the 13th for like 5.5 hours and never got tattoos because of how crowded it gets over there at three kings… it sucked.  so this year we went “early” to ensure that we got some new ink. can’t wait for the next one, in stinking january, lol.

i’ve also been realizing as i get older that NYC is really fucking tiny. and the older i get, the closer the social circles are linked.
(this has been proven many times in the last year…)

steve kept asking me last night why i don’t have a ranger tattoo yet… he said it would really suit me and i guess it would be pretty damn appropriate…. but i’ve only been a ranger fan again for like two or three years… (i was on a hiatus for a decade due to a horrifying mental association of them and walking in on my mother (ugh sexual things, eww #WORST) when they won the cup in ’94. – i went running in screaming in excitement and was scarred visually for years yeah, it was that bad.) at any rate, i feel like i have to wait a while before i commit to one? not that my love is going to change for them… i’m probably not making any sense. i would totally get the shield. i should…

YEAH!

friday was the friday the 13th special at three kings, but unfortunately it was too busy for us to get tatted up…  i got out of work at 4, but apparently that still wasn’t early enough.  i went home to shower quickly and steve picked me up and then we scooped up jes and co. and shuffled over there…

we waited for four stinkin’ hours and never got in for our ink – but we all had a really good time either way, just laughin’ it up together for a while…  and it wasn’t so nasty hot out either…  the only unbearable thing was that i had to pee the entire time…  ugh, now the next friday the 13th won’t be until next may…  guess next time i’m going to take the day off instead of leaving “early”…  i really wanted this tattoo, man…  it was a pair of hands, cut at the wrist with blood dripping holding up the middle finger for the 1 and three fingers on the other hand for the 3 to make the 13…  it would have looked so cute next to my misfits skull…

my mother has no idea how many tattoos i have. and i don’t mean, hey i’ve got hidden ones she doesn’t know about tee-hee-hee… i prance around with them out all the time, and i don’t have any in taboo places… she just has no idea.

i have asked my mother on numerous occasions what my chest tattoo reads, and she has no idea.

i want some new tattoo’s. i only want one more big piece and then little things here and there.

i’m getting a </body> tattoo on my foot soon, i’ve decided. at a bit of a diagonal angel near my ankle. if you don’t know what it means or how it pertains to me, please click here for a basic explanation. (i think it’s an ADORRRRRRRABLE idea!)

i’ve also been meaning to get pink roses on my chest… (pink roses is the title of a glassjaw song, it’s also off of the album i’ve got etched into my chest.) just for a little more of a glassjaw touch… but i don’t know where i want to put them, or how they should sit. and i guess i’m going to have to go to a tattoo shop and find out an opinion. obviously the first thing that came to mind were traditional roses with leaves, but i don’t know how they’ll sit or where. so i though maybe roses with stems? i really didn’t want to put the roses on my shoulders… anyways, i was looking through my hard drive and found a sheet of lisa frank stickers that were scanned… these roses do in fact have stems, but i left them out of the picture.

i really like the shape of the rose, although i dont think the dark/hot pink colouring is right for my chest piece… i want a lighter pink. just some thoughts i’m throwing out there… i plan on getting a lisa frank heart tattoo’d on me somewhere also… i don’t know if i like the colour scheme on the left or the right better… i’m like 80% sure i like the heart on the left better, with the blue on the outside. i like how there’s more hot pink. maybe i’ll have the green a little thicker, i love green in tattoo’s!

WOW! …i’m an idiot.
(this one is inspired by ilya, who as a result of sleeping on his arm overnight, lost feeling in it and woke up this morning thinking that it was paralyzed.)

so i bought this awesome little log shaped pillow. it was hand silk screened black to look like wood on brown felt kinda deal… (i’m sure that’s not accurate, but that’s my description for this story.) and i threw it on the bed and started cuddling with it at night. (haha, that sounds sad.)

so i usually sleep in whatever shirt i wear during the day if its a t-shirt and majority of people know i wear white v-necks (haha, example: see image above.) – and that’s what i had worn this night/morning in particular.

…this was like right after my shamrock tattoo was etched into my skin and it was still quite fresh/healing… i woke up one morning soon after i got the log pillow, looked at myself in the mirror and saw black ink all over the front of my shirt.

first thing that rolls through the old noodle here… “OMG I SCRATCHED MY TATTOOS OPEN”.

yeah, not even joking, lol.

i checked my chest, my wrists… couldn’t figure out where it came from. then i realized it was the pillow by the printed pattern it left on the shirt.

yeah, that pillow is just for show now.

so i had to get glasses last year. (i guess the computer use has finally got to me aside from carpel tunneled wrists/arms…) and i am not used to them at all. by “not used to them” i mean, i didn’t realize they could be effected by everyday activities.

such as:
cooking pasta, straining the pasta and me yelling curse words and being scared because my glasses fogged up and i instantly thought i went blind.

true story.

i had no idea what happened to me until i looked over and saw my mother in tears laughing at me because i didn’t realize that could happen.

okay so saturday, now that i’m not heated over the FUCKING asshole anymore…

aside from getting into a screaming match with steve, and then bitching him out…  i ran into a lot of my friends, got HIGHLY inebriated, and also made an ass of myself.  for the most part, had a good time.

my friend john came out.  which was cool and strange. (we sorta used to hang out/date? in 2005)  …i had not seen him in ages…  he’s best friends with two kids that used to work at casci’s with me (one was with him, one of his friends i know was there too), that’s how we met…  and we had a good time.  turns out he’s got an anchor tattoo on his arm that reads “worship” & “tribute” in the scrolls.  HOW COOL/WEIRD? lol.  (okay, if you don’t know i have an anchor tattoo on my left arm and “worship/tribute” on my chest).  he says he told me about it but i honestly couldn’t remember and was amazed.  laura kept saying we were fated to be together… lol.  and yes, obv. he’s a huge glassjaw fan as well.

i saw one of andrews old friends and one of jeffs old friends – together.  weird, i hadn’t seen them in years either.  i can’t say that i remember most of our conversation other than mike telling me he was breeding his pitbull and joe loved that i could still spell his intricate italian last name in my phone, lol…  they were with my ex jeff’s ex marilyn who i take the bus/train with into work.  oh our little queens towns…

and the usual suspects were there…
and erica was out for a bit…

erica and i had gone out for dinner/sangria at like 6 and that’s when the madness started.  i didn’t get home until almost 4:45 AM.  you can only imagine the state that i was in.  i don’t remember a lot of the end of the night…  laura left to see her ex at some point that was working down the block at the tanning salon, my friends are lushes that stayed there, steve left after we fought, asshole left and i wound up making fun of him and what his ex was wearing (not knowing it was his ex – lace stockings and jean shorts? she’s not even fierce enough for that – pfft.) and stumbled home.

so here’s the purple hair that i worked so hard to get on friday… stupid bleaching… dying… blah.

i’m blogging in the middle of  a ranger game, what a dumb idea.  i’m very distracted and have nothing to say because of it.  haha, so unfocused.

i went with frankie to get it, his cousin (bert krak) does tattoo’s for a spot near my house – and @ smith street tattoo a couple of days a week…  i love it, i’ve been meaning to get a 4 leaf clover since my sister did a few years ago – and going to that dropkick show a few weeks ago, got me fiending too – there were celtic tattoos and shamrock tattoo’s EVERYWHERE.  (drool!)

apparently, it was bert’s 3rd shamrock tattoo in three consecutive days.  so hopefully it’s super lucky! (third time’s a charm he said)

i had my pants cuffed today since it was super nice out and some suit on the train kept staring at my leg, looking quite puzzled, for like a good whole in between station stops.  he finally looked up at me after that short period of time and asks me, “is that a misfits tattoo?”.  he was saying something about them being wrestlers, lol.  i told him there was a lead singer before and after that other than danzig, and that he was good too.

he then proceeded to tell me one of his friends lives near danzig and saw him working out to his own music.  and i told him that they were still touring and he didn’t believe me.  but i did go see them A LOT in the early 2000′s…  and they were always good.  they played misfits, ramones AND black flag at those shows. nice trio instead of just misfits i think, and they played for a long time each show.  it was a ton of fun.

it was a heated discussion that my friend laura found quite amusing, since she had no idea what we were talking about…  whatever…  but apparently, these punk rock boys can be deceiving in their upscale monkey suits…

holiday cocktail lounge on friday was fast and furious, since we needed to be somewhere else later on…  we get there so early and get sloshed by like 8PM – it’s the worst.  so we decided since sophie had her work key, we’d go to her office to nap…

…little did we realize the elevator was locked as well as the staircase doors to get onto the floors…  worst.  so we hung out in the staircase for a few and then decided to move ourselves to a local bar for a $10 pitcher of bud light before the events of the evening started…

decided i wasn’t going to bother with the male species at all, until some suit that worked for AMEX wound up chatting with us…  someone put suicide machines on the jukebox at the bar and all three of us were like ???  whoa!  and YES! and he was impressed i knew who they were – me and soph were like, this is our scene…

i dont know who the hell thought to label this little cartoon dude chuck norris, because he looks nothing like him… but either way, i fell in love with him from the moment i saw him.

i hesitated a little at first, almost chose a S.W.A.K. envelope with dripping blood…  almost chose a lightning bolt….  almost chose a diamond…  there were a few runners up.  but i always came back to this guy.  i deciphered the guy as being beat up by love or something, because the tattoo choices were supposed to be v-day themed…  and i’m supposedly i’m a heart breaker, i beat up boys feelings, so i liked him.  only later did i find out it was supposed to be CN…  the guy that was supposed to be “Mr. T” on the choice sheet looked like zangeif from street fighter…

it kinda looks like he’s wearing a yamika, the shading was there but looked different on the sheet of tattoo choices…  but it’s cool, maybe someday i’ll have a hat put on him one day.  or maybe give him black hair i’m going to have an axe put chopping into his head.  either way, his face is great.  he reminds me of the stick-up poster i got from the shooting range.  clip art kinda deal…

oh yeah, he’s on the back of my right arm.
he’s watching out for me, in case i get sneak attacked from behind.
