saturday: i hung out with bro-bro all day since he was scheduled to leave on sunday for florida, and then i went with greek steve to see tommy play in a band he joined recently in ridgewood… but it felt like bushwick. i dunno. either way, good shit. they’re called ritz riot. saw mike tucci there. weird. we were whatever’ing so man years ago so it seems… didn’t really talk to him much, it was more like a “hey what are you doing here?” #zzz it was a horrible hipster scene… i just wanted out. i got some free graff art out of the deal, go go gadget dark cloud!

sunday: i went to get nerdy with AV at his studio about his website, and went to see mary poppins on broadway with jes… it was okay, it was a little slow in the beginning…  although it had a lot of the movie (mainly the music – but even the songs we all know were a bit different…) i think it followed a lot of the book, but i can’t say 100% because i’m still only about a quarter through it. they had great sets. i bought myself a mary poppins umbrella with the sick ass bird handle…  got jes a matching, over-sized ornament for her christmas tree next year.

sophie recently dug out this picture that i made for us back in the day and showed it to me tonight… for some reason we made our nicknames or whatever, dookie and spooky. (we were both obsessed with green day back then, lol) – and i made the dookie look like the cover and i drew a big ghost and had some lisa frank bear sticker on it too i dunno… it was a BFFL thing, even said it at the bottom.

i can’t believe how long ago that was now… almost two decades.

(off-topic) that whitestone shirt above was purchased in my local waldbaum’s for like $6 yeeeeeears ago. like 2001 or 2002… i found that as i was on line waiting to ring up with jeff and his mom. it’s totally a kids shirt, but i chanced it and it fit, and has been one of my favorites ever since. i wear it every time i fly out on vacation, also.

on friday, i was going to my homie reg’s art show right by my job and invited my friend priscilla that i used to chill with back in the day… just happened to see her on twitter and she wanted to come when i invited her… i didn’t know it, but my friend javie was in town and she asked him to come too it was great – haven’t seen either of them in ages. javie only within the last two years, but priscilla i haven’t seen in at LEAST 8 years or so… ridic!!!

so my lovers dropped by and we hung out at rebar until sophie drove in to join us… fun times. we all checked out the crazy cool art, got boozed up, talked about my fake latina days, spilled all over our chins, laughed, schmoozed, and then left for falafal…

p split, sophie went home and javie slept over… we had a lot of fun on saturday…

we woke up, went for coffee, got some breakfast items and made some brunch! we had some classy mimosa’s and took ‘em on the road to the park… hung out at my local dive bar for a couple of hours…

it was nice to just chill out with an old friend. it’s so surreal to think about how long we’ve been friends… i’ve known javie for almost 15 years now… that’s insane to me. we were really good friends in high school… at first i had a HUGE crush on him (everyone did, lol) – he was a hot, skater dude with a bunch of piercings and crazy hair… wide-leg jeans and airwalks, lol… best! …we only wound up being really close friends… thank god. love love love him<3

we used to be on the phone for HOURS every night, we'd meet up in the city all the time, go to shows, cut school, get piercings (lol), stayed out all night, make fun of each other, have sleepovers, wander around whitestone for hours, we would just clown around, went to raves. i miss them days.

it’s so hard to work around stupid adult schedules and shit, so i’m glad we even got to have a day together… i hope i see him and priscilla again soon… he’s living in philly but miss thang is in nyc – so we’d better roll soon<3

it was our friend kurt’s cousins 21st birthday so she chose that spot… hung out with ms. teena<3 drinking, dancing… the dj was playing 90′s theme songs… it was odd. had an okay time after all though… still trying to get my hands on a picture of me and some dude with his shirt tucked in/pants up to his nipples “dancing”. oh yes, one of those priceless jess photos. (i’m going straight to hell).

on sunday i went over to sophie’s to see her cousin steph’s baby<3 i haven’t seen her since she had him a few months ago… hung out with bebehhhhhhh<3 we ate some dinner, drank some sangria… just chilled out.

i did a lot of walking in the nice weather and snoozing.

sophie and i got rather tipsy, had fun, came home.

friday sophie and i went to get boozed up with my friend pat, we met an awesome irish bartender who loves cancun as much as i do… it was fun and relaxing! blue moons, music… a lovely dive bar experience… slept at soph’s.

saturday sophie and i bummed around all day – talking, eating, sipping coffee, listening to music… doing much of nothing. it was lovely. we went to go see my friends band play at one of our local bars… (landing project) – - – good times.

today i attempted my first public transportation trip to my apartment from my mothers house via main street – found a bus that goes straight there – pat had to meet up with me and guide me to it, i didn’t realize where it was until i realized it was the same bus i used to take to night school in the high school days… we grabbed coffee and i went on my merry little way… got to the apt, started taking down the blue tape since the paint finally fully dried, and then missy texted me that she was going to eat near her house nearby… i went to chill out with her and her man for a bit, had some johnny rockets and hot cocoa and went back to work…

i live so close to missy now, it’s rad. i used to never really go to her house unless i was getting a ride or if i was out with her and went home with her (usually tanked, lol)… i’m sure i’ll be seeing more of her and matt now, so i’m glad i have some friends on that side of queens…

so i got ALL of my painting done. touch-ups, the closet, the random purple/black that made it over the blue painters tape… yay! although those spots are now bright white from my primer so i might have to repaint that.. ugh.

so this bus ride took me an hour both ways… no very ideal, but i have no choice… at least it’s just one long ride without transfers til main street…

glad to finally be back home, i need to shower. gonna do that, and get to sleep.

i dyed my bangs this milk chocolate brown colour i constantly try to describe to missy and we can never actually place… but i think it came out this colour because i dyed it over the horrible orange my hair was rocking the past week…

i’ve had a cold since sunday
today i felt better because i had a good nights sleep, but i developed a horrible cough that i guess was just clearing everything out… sounded gross but felt good.

i would be sleeping already if the damn rangers weren’t playing in another time zone, lol… i want to get a good nights sleep so i feel good tomorrow when i see renate! how fun?! now i just have to meet dr.ew and my web-to-real-life will be complete<3 lol

i miss sophie
she’s been in greece for the last two weeks, and i’ve needed her attention, support and hugs and she’s not here… worst. and while i was living in damn bayside too, dammit… i think she returns on friday. i’m going to have to steal her! i need help and guidance! things have been confusing and rough lately…
