there were quite a few cute pieces from the etsy shop of janine basil that i liked, but these were my favorites. i don’t think i’d rock ‘em because i don’t like headbands… but i feel like it’s in the same vein as a lot of cute things i like… perhaps if they were bows, it’d be a different story

a. the white iphone – i held onto my stupid 3G for as long as i could because i’m not a frivolous spender and i’m a huge believer of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.  buttttttttttt… it broke, lol.  it started freezing up on me at random times and i couldn’t even hard reset or shut the damn thing off.  and everything was running slow as shit, so i upgraded this weekend.
b. sean avery (naked) – (more info) he’s one of my favorite rangers. i constantly get shit for it, but whatever. as much as i am a #16 on the ice fan, he’s also vurrrry hot. so when i saw that it was available on a shirt, you bet your bottom i was grabbing one… #UNF.
c. face to face/strung out – two of my favorite 90′s pop punk bands together. i can’t even describe the joy that wednesday night will be. i have never seen strung out AND i didn’t even know they were playing with face to face until i went to purchase the tickets. i can’t even contain myself.
d. the bouncing souls – steve and i bought tickets to the souls shows this summer. they’re playing four nights in a row, but we bought for two nights. my favorite live souls album is “…my summer vacation” – it’s so much fun live, so we got tickets to that night and for the hopeless romantic/self titled night.
e. TOMS – i always wanted to buy myself a pair of these shoes, but i never knew how they fit, so i never ordered them online… (go a half-size up #FYI) so when i was in utah, i was on a hunt for them and i finally got them. even though they’re flat, they’re super comfy and never hurt my feet.  i also have small, wide feet, so they’re perfect for me. they’re very versatile style-wise, which i love. they’re not super casual looking, so i can get away wearing them out at night.
f. deep conditioning pantene for curly hair – my hair is curly, heavy, thick and unruly. i’m always on the look out for new products to try to tame this mane, and i stumbled upon this on sale at the store…  i’ve only been using it for a week, but i have noticed that my curls are tighter.  i always air-dry my hair, and it’s usually all bunched up tight on my head into clips while it’s drying.  my hair is so heavy, that if i don’t do that at the roots, my hair just gets weighed down. and all blah – like the curls will just start halfway down my head, it’s weird. and this is happening a lot more because i’m letting my hair grow out long again.
g. octopus clips – my hair breaks hair clips… not even shitting you.  i’ve broken three of my favorite clips in the last two months, and (of course) they stopped making the clips that i use…  i’ve been on the hunt for new ones. not too large/long and not too small.  ones with the rubber grips are the best. so i bought this octopus jammies, and they are awesome.  they hold my hair, and a great deal of it, without a hitch.

after work tonight, i was walking home and came across this hair salon that i see all the time – it’s always closed because i get home too late – but tonight it was open.  so i said “fuck it” and went in for a bang trim.  this way i can enjoy having my bangs again for a bit, until the humidity and summer heat kicks in…

anyways, i decided to straighten my hair tonight and remembered that my sister gave me a shit ton of hair stuff for straight hair recently.  most of being “got2b” products…  on a side note, i really love their stuff.  i’ve been using a lot of their products for years.  i love their gel and their pomade, so whatever – i decided to use whatever my sister had given me for the straight hair…  i used this “guardian angel” heat protecting spray and as soon as i started spraying my damp hair i was instantly excited!  it smells like my faaaaaaaaaaaaavorite smelling hair shampoo/conditioner line from the 90′s (revlon’s “outrageous” line #UNF)

i lovedddddddddd that smell so much growing up.  i used it a lot in junior high school days.  …i thought they had discontinued it, but when i googled it, it came up with results in a newly shaped bottle.

anyways, i figured i’d share in case anyone loved it as much as i did. 

like a month ago, carly<3 posted about lucid dreams and how to achieve them.  tried so hard that night, but it didn’t work.  so the other night i accidentally almost had one…

i don’t remember doing it, but i ended up having my small, white mirror (that i actually own) that i use to check out the back of my head and i wound up in a small bathroom that i’ve never seen before…  the light was on already, so i don’t remember flipping it as being another lucid element…  there were hooks across from the main mirror, above the toilet and i was trying to put the mirror on one of them so that i could use both hands for my hair.  every time i tried to put the mirror on a hook, it straightened out.  i kept seeing part of my face/forehead and the back of my head at the line where i parted it.  finally i got the mirror sturdy enough so that i could work hands free and i think i was about to, or did look right into the little mirror and i instantly woke up.

i think i’m too dyselxic (lol, yeah i just typed that) to attempt learning to french braid my own hair.
but i’m gonna try.

so here’s the purple hair that i worked so hard to get on friday… stupid bleaching… dying… blah.

i’m blogging in the middle of  a ranger game, what a dumb idea.  i’m very distracted and have nothing to say because of it.  haha, so unfocused.

i went with frankie to get it, his cousin (bert krak) does tattoo’s for a spot near my house – and @ smith street tattoo a couple of days a week…  i love it, i’ve been meaning to get a 4 leaf clover since my sister did a few years ago – and going to that dropkick show a few weeks ago, got me fiending too – there were celtic tattoos and shamrock tattoo’s EVERYWHERE.  (drool!)

apparently, it was bert’s 3rd shamrock tattoo in three consecutive days.  so hopefully it’s super lucky! (third time’s a charm he said)

haha, i love the fact that my co-worker introduces me as “the girl with the coolest hair, ever”.

i have so many damn things to do and no time today.

missy’s all booked up tonight, ally’s M.I.A., i wanna ask jennifunkayyy but i think she’s bartending…  and vezza’s phone is out of service?
guess i’m gonna have to bleach/dye myself. – scurry! lol

have to find some zippers for an idea i have for clothing…

anyways. i just got back from target, worst place to go on a sunday. i had to return a bra that was too small for me… wound up getting some undies to match and otherwise and found a cute argyle sweater… argyle is my steeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze! i’m in love with it… my constant tribute to the souls<3 and then i got some starbuckles and came home.

i’ve gotta go get my nails did. not sure what colour. i’m thinking of a thanksgiving-ish colour choice… dark orange or a brown of some sort… i’m also thinking of doing that to my hair. i want some shiny ass copper in there, blue/purple can wait for spring. maybe i’ll do green/red for christmas time
