the prices are insane down here, this isn’t the damn city… i have been working here for two years now and i’ve realized that if you’re stupid enough to pay that much money to live here – you deserve to. you’re basically paying for a SHIT TON of noise, dog pee and dog shit EVERYWHERE (literally), (SLOW WALKING) tourists ALL YEAR LONG, no decent grocery store, overpriced EVERYTHING, 978 nanny’s and the kids they don’t give a shit about slowly dragging their asses down the streets of dumbo and did i mention the tons of tourists?

i like working down here because it’s not as busy as the city but i would NEVER EVER EVER waste money living in this stupid, overrated area.

i work between the manhattan and brooklyn bridges, if you didn’t know… it’s gorgeous down there in the park, so i figured it’d be a good place to just chill out for a while… it was a gorgeous spring day out today, glad we got to enjoy it before we start sweating our nyc balls off…

we got some starbucks, walked around dumbo for a few, and then we went to brooklyn bridge park… chilled out for a while, were talking… TLNYC CREATIVE BRAINSTORMING… and as jes took this picture on the left (dont mind my fat arm? lol), one of my bosses walked over to say hi, lol… we got to see his son charlie and his wife, we chatted for a few and then they went to a birthday party in the park. it’s funny i bumped into him, i’m usually never in dumbo on the weekends since i frequent it so often during the week

so we sat there for a while shooting-the-shit, and then decided to hike up to the heights… here are some pics i took

unused before i had internet working in midwood when i moved in with frankie, i was super bored and made this. i tried to make something simple, clean and different.

so today was the first part of our office’s move. pictured above, lol, will show our office on the left (now) and where we will be situated tomorrow (right). yeah, 5th floor. both corner offices, across from each other, lol.

so tonight was the first part of our move. we packed up everything in the afternoon and transported all the important tech stuff ourselves… i, running off of only about 5 hours of sleep was terribly exhausted after this. here are some pictures of our old office i took tonight.<3

after this whole moving debacle, i was waiting at the york street train station for a good half hour or so with no queens bound F trains coming my way… no warning that a train wasn’t coming or anything until four trains later… had to transfer twice to get my train home. such a pain. i was pretty much sleep walking…

i think i’m about to take a swig o nyquil to knock out since i woke up from napping at 8:30, worst.
haha! my mother called me mid-nap, i don’t know what we spoke about and i probably made no sense whatsoever. #best

shawn and i went to pick up lunch today at almondine, and they only take cash, so i had to stop off at the ATM in the deli around the block… inside of this deli there is usually an odd assortment of people, today one being a black cowboy. i’m talking boots WITH THE SPURS, hat with feathers hanging off of the back and a HUGE belt buckle.

anyways, some white dude that apparently works in our building (i didn’t see him, but shawn sees him often…) was talking to the black cowboy about another black cowboy as we were leaving.

there’s another black cowboy that roams DUMBO? wtf.

so we decided to skip almondine because the soup sucked… shawn wanted sushi so we went to peas & pickles. (deli/supermarket thing) – there he could grab his sushi, there i could grab some chips. so i was walking up the chip aisle and lo and behold… there was my midnight cowboy. listening to me ask shawns opinion on my chip decision… cool ranch doritos or french onion sun chips… he then proceeded to compliment my hair, and then goes and grabs a beer (lol, at 12:30 PM)… he then comes over to me and helps me make my final decision about my lunch snack… he told me that “every body needs to go a little french sometimes”. with this flirty little smirk, and kept moseying on out.

true story.

…although i tweeted about it already, i’ll blabber on here about how earlier in the afternoon, i saw jason schwartzman in the health food market thing by my job… (the overpriced organic store) – and i honestly just thought he was someone i knew, so i gave him exactly that look.. and 2 seconds later it hit me… who he was and that he must have thought i was going to maul him in hopes of some sort of contact – he had that “i’ve been spotted” face on, and shuffled into an aisle to hide – boo that. apparently he lives in dumbo…  but i’ve never seen him around…  i’ve only seen jermaine dupri, denis leary, a gossip girl and spike lee… (that rude DICK.)

tonight i went home to erica, we had dinner and watched a nutso ranger game. (yes, we won.)
i’ll spare you all the nail biting details. go look up the highlights if you care…  it was INSANE!

i’m sitting here dying my bangs, bored…  looking forward to tomorrow’s weather…  i keep saying i should have taken off tomorrow but i didn’t even go out tonight, i’m lame.  would have been a wasted day off… bell blvd. looked annoyingly packed and rowdy, so maybe it was for the best.

so i’ve been consistent with this whole blogging thing in the past few months, so i feel the need to constantly do it.  but right now, i’m exhausted and i have nothing to talk about and feel totally boring, lol…  so i’m gonna go wash this shit out of my hair and go shower.

i am scared to even think about what getting to work tomorrow is going to be like in this snow…  i’m going to have to wake up like a half an hour earlier than normal to attempt getting there on time…

SO the weekend…

friday i went out for drinks with co-workers at superfine, was nice to go out with them for a change…  sipped them stella’s – then went home.  i tried to hang out with my sister and our friends but they all wound up separating…  so i stayed home and watched tv…  (loser, lol)

saturday i was hanging out with erica @ the store and we were about to have a drunken ranger game night at the apt. but thennn one of our customers offered us ranger tickets.

no i will not bore you with another long ranger story.  i will however say that we KICKED ASS on saturday night…  in points and in crazy amounts of fighting – and it was an amazing game (we won 6-1). (article) – knock on wood, hopefully this will be the start of a new winning streak.

oh duh, we were also surrounded by retired players (i got ron duguay’s autograph, lol – he was 1 row in front of me.) AND james lipton (LOL) in the executive box seats section.  anyone who decided to talk to us that night on the way home that was there too, agrees it was one of the most amazing ranger games they’d ever been to. i’m so glad i got to witness it.

i started making some contact tables before but got totally thrown off by dinner, sorry folks.

put my bangs up/back because they’re JUSTTTTTT long enough for a poof and the wind tore that shit right down, lol.  even hair sprayed to shit, they lasted about 5 minutes outside my door.

WORST!

was working on another religious website again, pretty much all day.  the case i have is 72 pages of coding to do.  god is going to punish me for finding entertainment in the pictures of deceased nuns.  (no they don’t show them deceased, it’s a memorial page…  lol.)  some are ADORABLE, and some are scary and/or funny…  i’ve gotta find humor in everything…

at lunch, i was walking with the wind (and shawn) and it made me run.  i was just moving enough to walk and i flew ahead of him.  the wind is no joke down by the brooklyn bridge between the buildings…  i mean, i know the wind was bad everywhere, but had i jumped while walk/running…  i may have blown away and perished, lol.

as i hopped on the F train, some teenage girl and her mom were sitting down and she looked at me and gasped and said “oh my god, that’s so hot!” and smiled at me…   i’m guessing she was referring to my septum.   the mother instantly looked at her like “yeah, right”.  i smiled and put on my ipod…

i’m finally home, and  it feels good.

i’m going to take out the garbage for my mom, and hop in the shower.
i can’t wait to stand under the hotttttt water for like ten minutes.
let is just wash my cares away.

then i’m going to watch dream a little dream, and hopefully fall asleep.

HE i.m.’d me and called me to hang out tomorrow…  who knows if it’ll even happen, or what will happen.  what will it be?  or will it be weird?  i hope not.  i don’t know what i hope for.
