over the weekend, my main squeeze and i went to hoboken, nj for her cousins housewarming party… her cousin had a bunch of people over and one of her friends was telling me that she was from the rockaways, but hung out on bell blvd (where i used to work for like 3 years)… and i mentioned that i had worked at cascarino’s and she said that jes’s cousin had also… and i remembered her name but i had never met her because she worked there right before i had started… so i figured it was her but i wasn’t sure…

soon as i found her, i asked and sho’ nuff it was! what a fucking small world. the year after starting to work at casci’s in bayside is when i met jes to begin with. so weird.

i can’t believe that was five years ago already, time flies!

okay so my xmas vacation/weekend started on wednesday night…

my barista from work told me he was going to be on bell for a live performance at one of my regular bars, asked me if i knew where it was (lol) – i was very excited to have my brooklyn buddies down there (him and his gf who also works at my starbucks)! so i went over to erica’s and we met up with them at the bar…

erica left after a while because she wasn’t feeling well, and then my friend pat lee rolled through. we all hung out, enjoyed the cover band for a while… i was getting harassed by a youngin’, we entertained this for a while and then we all left.

my family and i didn’t really do anything for xmas. we were all pretty broke, so i promised my mom i’m going to take her to see mary poppins on broadway next month, and for my sister – i’ve got a few gems up my sleeve. but this month all had to go to apt. stuff… i mean, i know it’s not all about gifts, but we all look forward to it as well… my sister bought me the wicked witch of the west collectors barbie that i had wanted, russian nesting doll measuring cups for my new apt, and a slimer (from ghostbusters) coin bank (BEST!)

pat lee came over on xmas eve to help me out with my poor, charlie-busted computer… he installed windows 7 for me – it’s lovely so far! (thanks dude!) – so now i can update my poor, neglected blog again…

i slept for most of the day both days which has totally screwed up my sleep schedule now, worst.

last night a bunch of me and my sisters friends went out for my sisters birthday which was postponed because of the snow storm last weekend… the usual bar we go to where we can avoid all the annoying ugg-wearing/ditzy dancing bitches was filled with just that – and a DJ… worst. i guess they were looking to draw in a new crowd to pack the place – so annoying. but towards the end of the night it filtered out… ran into a few friends – one including a twitter-induced spotting (lol!) and let loose a little.

it’s 1AM… i wanted to be in bed sleeping already but of course i got caught up in some other stuff tonight.

went to erica’s, watched the game. the rangers lost (boo).

went to get food @ casci’s… ran into so many people<3
went to the bar to see my dad (KK!), watched the yankees lose (yay).
got loose, went home.

i just wanted to see my fafi tonight, and i couldn’t.
it’s so frustrating when you just want to see someone and you can’t.
i just want to spoon him all night. (lol)

i kinda want to throw a fit, lol.

i want to stay home tomorrow.
i want to veg out, watch tv, sleep in, do nothing.
(damn work getting in the way)

i don’t even know what i’m doing this weekend. i can’t remember if i made any plans or not.

i just want to move into my new place and get settled. living out of two bags and the shit in my dresser is making me nutso.

i’m going to bed.

friday night == commute from hell!

a) rain sucks
b) humidity sucks
c) mta doesn’t function correctly when it’s raining

so i get outta work on friday, trying to get home as fast as i possibly can so that i can make a weekend bag and feed the cat… i’m out of work at six and don’t get home til seven… the F got stuck and then my bus never came… so i’m walking around sweating in the rain, and my hair turns into the biggest frizz ball i’ve seen yet this icky summer… and it’s up mad sloppy. so i change fast and go go go. i get the Q, that too is running like shite… i am forced watching this weird white dude eat a lemon pie and then wash it down with lemonade, GUHHH! (picture) i get out at 34th street and practically run to penn station… when i get to the time table, it says the port washington line is running on track 20. i have three minutes to catch the train.

i buy the ticket and run downstairs. train is empty. wtf? i sit down anyways and then some old lady starts complaining about a hamptons crowd… what is she talking about? i then notice my track has changed. i didn’t realize this and by the time i get to my track, my train is gone.

erica is so pissed at this point because we were supposed to be on the road by then, but her cousin she was driving up was late too… he at that point was later than me, so woo! i just told her it was out of my hands and i’d get there as soon as possible… got some mcdonalds… finally was on my way to bayside.

got there, got in the car, drove on up – sippin’ on a redbull. erica’s cousin michael started futzing around with my iphone for music, i get made fun of for most of the selection on my iphone anddd he says he doesn’t know 1/4 of it… still, he finds some things to listen to (mostly mainstream 80′s) and i put my head back in the back seat and stare up at the stars. i haven’t seen so many stars in ages. so pretty.

we get to the house and erica is embarrassed about her old bedroom. apparently it hasn’t changed since she was living there in high school.

i’m really gonna miss my walks home from bell blvd at night.  it was so rainy/foggy tonight, really nice.  i wish i had a better camera to capture what i really saw, but  i like this picture anyway.

okay so saturday, now that i’m not heated over the FUCKING asshole anymore…

aside from getting into a screaming match with steve, and then bitching him out…  i ran into a lot of my friends, got HIGHLY inebriated, and also made an ass of myself.  for the most part, had a good time.

my friend john came out.  which was cool and strange. (we sorta used to hang out/date? in 2005)  …i had not seen him in ages…  he’s best friends with two kids that used to work at casci’s with me (one was with him, one of his friends i know was there too), that’s how we met…  and we had a good time.  turns out he’s got an anchor tattoo on his arm that reads “worship” & “tribute” in the scrolls.  HOW COOL/WEIRD? lol.  (okay, if you don’t know i have an anchor tattoo on my left arm and “worship/tribute” on my chest).  he says he told me about it but i honestly couldn’t remember and was amazed.  laura kept saying we were fated to be together… lol.  and yes, obv. he’s a huge glassjaw fan as well.

i saw one of andrews old friends and one of jeffs old friends – together.  weird, i hadn’t seen them in years either.  i can’t say that i remember most of our conversation other than mike telling me he was breeding his pitbull and joe loved that i could still spell his intricate italian last name in my phone, lol…  they were with my ex jeff’s ex marilyn who i take the bus/train with into work.  oh our little queens towns…

and the usual suspects were there…
and erica was out for a bit…

erica and i had gone out for dinner/sangria at like 6 and that’s when the madness started.  i didn’t get home until almost 4:45 AM.  you can only imagine the state that i was in.  i don’t remember a lot of the end of the night…  laura left to see her ex at some point that was working down the block at the tanning salon, my friends are lushes that stayed there, steve left after we fought, asshole left and i wound up making fun of him and what his ex was wearing (not knowing it was his ex – lace stockings and jean shorts? she’s not even fierce enough for that – pfft.) and stumbled home.

wonder why you were stuck in my subconscious last night.  i’ve never even looked at you in that way, but those piercing eyes were so intense last night…  woof.  and i don’t even like blue eyes, weird…. and so hot.

when we went to the souls at cha cha’s in coney two years ago, we were all pre-gaming at this bar down the boardwalk and i was sitting with missy and steve…  it was raining that day, gloomy, chilly…  it was august i think.  anyways, i was talking to missy who was on my left and i looked down the bar towards the front of the place and bryan walks over in this ridiculously ugly, dark green poncho and was staring into the place.  i guess maybe he was looking for someone…  so after like 2/3 minutes i gave him this big dumb grin from ear to ear and he smiled back big and walked away. missy and steve laughed at me, i must have looked so dumb.

blah blah blah.

so on friday: me and sophs did the holiday cocktail lounge again, we found out the owner died two weeks ago.  sad!

the guy who’s running the place now has redone it a little, at least he’s keeping it open.  it’s cute, they’ve got wings now and he gets excited everytime someone orders them…  they were eh.  no down the hatch wings, but good enough for bar food.  so we did that and then went over to bell blvd for her friend olivia’s birthday gathering…  which i was worried about because she’s friends with people i don’t really associate with, but they wound up not going…  so it was cool.

ran into a few friends i haven’t seen in a while…  there were three of us with matching souls broken heart tattoo’s, it was cute to see them all together.  didn’t get drunk.  i don’t know how i didn’t get wasted,  i was drinking from 7PM til 3AM, but i love it.  i had a nice, long, unsloppy buzz.

woof, my lunch made me really sleepy because it was super filling.  this is going to lead to 3PM redbull or coffee run…  wealth advisors websites are toally boring to work on for hours at at time… zZz.

so this weekend was fun…
girls night out on friday @ the pour house in cp
although i hate being in cp and running into old school people – i had a blast with my joanna<3 blue moons, light up ice cubes & girly pictures – it was nice to just chill out and chit chat about bs and not get judged, not matter what my decisions are at the moment…  wound up at billy’s new apartment and then home @ 5AM… woof.

slept through saturday, hung out with erica – watched the rangers kick arse…

yesterday we went to medieval times for my sisters bday fiestsa…
…i felt like such a 10 year old til i started boozing and it made it a little better.  remind me to not do that for another like, ten years.  or until i have children that want to go…  red knight did not go down. red knight won.

then i did laundry at the lame ass laundromat because my washing machine is STILL broken…  we have to get someone in to look at it…

um. yeah.  i’m @ work, so i’m going to go work.
